NYCU Email/Online Submission Guidelines

News You Can Use (NYCU) is an email/online publication produced on a bi-weekly basis. Please refer to the following when submitting articles for NYCU. Note: You must acknowledge that you understand these guidelines before you will be allowed to submit information.

Publication dates/deadlines:
Article Summary: An article summary must accompany each submission. The summary should not exceed 75 words.

Article Length: Articles should be no longer than 300 words. We reserve the right to edit the article for space.

Links: Provide the URL if the article is listed in another area, or if you want to direct readers to a particular website.

Issue Date: Please indicate the issue in which the article should appear. NOTE: Articles on the same topic will appear no more than twice. Example: If an event occurs August 1, information can be submitted once a month for two months (June and July), or twice in the same month (twice in July).

Graphics: If graphics should accompany the article, submit them as JPGs or GIFs only. If you need assistance, please let us know.

Contact information: All articles must be accompanied by contact information, or they will not be included.

Placement: NYCU reserves the right to determine where an article shall be placed in the publication.
