*This is a Non-Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid an hourly pay rate, on a bi-weekly basis, and are eligible to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Fixes, embeds, sections, and stains tissue specimens for the establishment and confirmation of patient diagnosis. Performs routine maintenance on departmental equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a one year program in histologic techniques. Certified as a Histology Technician (HT) by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or certification eligible.
