*This is a Non-Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid an hourly pay rate, on a bi-weekly basis, and are eligible to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs complex diagnostic laboratory procedures and compiles and analyzes data to diagnose rare or unusual medical conditions. Analyzes and summarizes the results of lab tests to aid in making appropriate decisions regarding continued testing or diagnosis. Prepares reagents and specimens for analysis according to diagnostic laboratory procedures. Maintains, troubleshoots and performs minor repairs on laboratory equipment. Complies with quality control policies and procedures regarding all aspects of laboratory operations. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry or a related scientific discipline and two years of related experience, OR equivalent combination of experience and training, OR bachelor's degree and certification by the National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA) if an applicable specialty is available.
