*This is an Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid a salary on a monthly basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Leads the efforts of all aspects of social media activities for a department or program. Develops and implements strategies for multiple social media platforms and groups. Designs, develops, and implements mobile marketing campaigns. Develops training programs and delivers presentations for staff and volunteer social media usage, event promotion, and engagement. Serves as subject matter expert by maintaining records information on social media platforms, researching and evaluating usage of evolving social media technologies, and benchmarking social media usage with industry leaders. Manages database operations for social media platforms. Attends, writes, and posts event and news information to the appropriate social media outlets. Creates records and edits podcasts/videos for multiple communication platforms. Develops written content for various newsletters, publications, and mass electronic communications. Establishes and maintains relationships with alumni, donors and students. Supports technology and information management. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree and two years of marketing, communications or related experience which inlcudes social media platforms, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Previous experience with a variety of social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, etc. Strong computer skills. |
