*This is an Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid a salary on a monthly basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Develops and implements media relations and/or publications programs and oversees media relations and/or publications for specific colleges and schools. Assists in strategic public relations planning and implementation including, media relations, publications and periodicals, crises communication and issues management. Develops relationships with journalists and oversees and implements new methods for media relations efforts. Edits texts and works with clients and designers to produce publications. Supervises staff and production of news and public information materials.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in public relations, journalism or related field. Five years experience in writing, editing or public relations.
