*This is a Non-Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid an hourly pay rate, on a bi-weekly basis, and are eligible to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Prepares and serves menu items for faculty, staff, students and visitors in various food service areas in accordance with approved recipes. Reports problems in food production to avoid delays in meal service schedule and to improve the quality of food services. Maintains clean and sanitary food preparation areas and equipment. Observes all food borne illness, safety and infection control policies and procedures. May operate a cash register. May assist with catering activities. May assist with cooking and baking. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent and one year of food service experience. Positions within this classification may require the ability to bend, stoop and twist and lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to adapt to changing working conditions/environments: such as hot, cold, or damp conditions. Excellent customer service skills. |
