*This is a Non-Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid an hourly pay rate, on a bi-weekly basis, and are eligible to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Supports the maintenance of the University's HRMS content and the integrity of employee records in compliance with established procedures. Creates employee records in the HRMS. Assists in the testing, implementation, and ongoing operational support of HRIS and HRTS applications. Performs quality control audits on existing database and is responsible for integrity of employee data. Serves as a departmental resource and troubleshoots unusual data entry situations, problems, and payroll-related issues. Acts as a liaison with IT staff in resolving HRIS-related issues. Interprets Emory's employment and pay policies including leaves, promotions, transfers and terminations for division human resources representatives. Runs pre- and post-payroll reports or queries. Monitors audit reports. Maintains working knowledge of general benefits, payroll, recruiting, employee relations and compensation principals and their impact on data in the HRMS. Collaborates with Emory schools and divisions to ensure employee data is processed and issues are resolved for biweekly and monthly payroll deadlines and the issuance of annual tax documents. Attends and presents training for special annual events. Keeps campus informed of process/procedure changes. Works with campus human resources representatives and provides training on relevant topics. Maintains knowledge of US visa types to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including Form I-9, student work permits and authorization. May provide back-up support for division Kronos time keeper. Provides employment verifications, as needed. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree and one year of related customer service or help desk experience (preferably with human resources information systems), or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
