*This is a Non-Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid an hourly pay rate, on a bi-weekly basis, and are eligible to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Maintains technologies that support the teaching and learning mission of the University. Deploys technology hardware and/or software applications via in-person and virtual assistance for students, faculty, staff and selected guests. Supports and utilizes monitoring tools to troubleshoot incidents and enhance the availability of services. Participates in the development and assessment of academic technologies and supports learning-based technologies in multiple formats. Performs equipment refreshes and hardware installations; troubleshoots to identify issues and initiate fixes and resolutions. Supports campus network access to support computers and mobile devices; coordinates with vendors and contractors to meet customer needs for out-sourced technology support. Maintains any required auxiliary equipment pools to supplement and/or replace deployed equipment and technologies. Performs testing, inspection and monitoring to assure established expectations are met. Conducts orientations and training sessions to build user skills; assists UTS and Emory staff to support back-to-school efforts and related events. Researches new products to remain current with market trends and recent technology requirements, and provides product recommendations to ensure effective operability and customer satisfaction. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience with IT, Instructional Technology, A/V Event Support Services, Video Technologies, or other related fields is preferred.
