*This is a Non-Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid an hourly pay rate, on a bi-weekly basis, and are eligible to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides general nursing care for adolescent, young adult and adult patients. Ensures efficient patient flow through the clinic and provides phone consultation with patients. May triage patients according to the nature of the patient's complaint and the availability of clinicians. Under the instruction of a medical doctor, performs certain laboratory tests ordered by clinicians. Administers medications, provides wound care, maintains emergency carts, starts IVs, maintains medical supplies, and organizes and re-stocks treatment rooms and labs. May administer immunizations and determine whether or not a student is eligible to register for classes. Coordinates or assists with special immunization campaigns. Identifies patient problems, symptoms, and behavioral changes. Reviews and maintains complete and accurate documentation related to the admission, care, transfer or discharge of the patient. Prepares charts for new patients. Identifies and responds to patient educational needs. May supervise staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia. Two years of recent (within the past five years) nursing experience in an outpatient setting. Completion of a physical assessment course or experience conducting physical assessments. |
