*This is an Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid a salary on a monthly basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Manages multiple clinical trials at multiple locations. Typically supervises a clinical trials staff of more than five. Develops and implements strategies for business development. Collaborates with administration to develop and implement strategic plans for clinical trials in specific clinical areas. Tracks and manages finances for multiple trials at various locations; tracks expenses on Emory financial reports. Directly implements Standard Operating Procedures. Facilitates contracts, budgeting, and routing for bench research laboratories, industry trials, and NIH. Responsible for quality assurance, record retention, and documentation flow. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a related field and eight years of experience in clinical trials, which includes four years in the clinical area. Candidates with a relevant master's degree and six years of experience in clinical trials, three of which are in the clinical area, are also considered qualified.
