JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides career counseling services to undergraduate students, graduate students and alumni concerning career development, career options (including graduate and professional schools) and employment. Assists in coordinating on-campus recruitment, career-oriented workshops, mock interviews and job search strategies for students. Develops and maintains relationships with potential employers and alumni to encourage their participation in career forums, panels and informational interviews with university students. May assist in developing and evaluating student internship programs. May administer and interpret a variety of career assessment inventories to assist students with career exploration and planning. Assists in creating or editing communications and publications related to career planning and placement. Supervises student employees. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A master's degree in psychology, student personnel and higher education or a related field. One year of experience in career planning and placement, vocational testing or a related field. |
