*This is an Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid a salary on a monthly basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: *This is a central university office position.* Advises students and parents regarding the availability of financial aid, eligibility requirements, and the application and awarding process. Evaluates applications and other documentation to determine need. Awards financial aid within appropriate guidelines and regulations. Administers related policies and procedures. Monitors compliance with federal and state regulations governing student aid. Develops programs related to functional processes. Represents the department on various committees. Coordinates cross training programs. Creates and administers financial aid packaging plans and equations using PeopleSoft equation engine toolset. Participates in the development and monitoring of policies and procedures. Manages project teams and sets best practices for team development. Coordinates special low-income aid initiatives such as QuestBridge Scholars and Emory Advantage. May hire, supervise and evaluate a small staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree and four years of financial aid or related financial experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
