JOB DESCRIPTION: * This is a central university office position.* Plans, develops, implements and evaluates Financial Aid programs and services for students in undergraduate, graduate or health professions curriculums. Communicates and advises students and parents regarding the financial aid process for federal, state and institutional funds. Reviews and analyzes financial aid award data and awards appropriate type and amount of aid to students. Manages financial aid packaging processes, need analysis systems and protocols for need-based aid. Serves as a financial aid lead liaison to schools. Conducts financial aid presentations at orientations, seminars and special interest sessions. Resolves problems with outside agencies on behalf of student aid recipients. Monitors fund balances for endowed funds and designated awards to ensure that award amounts are correct and eligibility requirements are met. Ensures compliance with regulations and ensures that services are competitive and responsive to university and student needs. Administers related policies and procedures. Oversees the preparation of operational and statistical reports for management and regulatory agencies. Hires, supervises and evaluates staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree. Five years of experience working with student financial aid programs or related financial work which includes experience in a lead or supervisory role and expertise in need analysis or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
