*This is an Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid a salary on a monthly basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Plans, develops, implements and evaluates various Financial Aid programs and services for students. Communicates and advises students and parents regarding the financial aid process for federal, state and institutional funds. Reviews and analyzes financial aid award data and awards appropriate type and amount of aid to students. Reviews, posts and reconciles merit-based awards. Certifies loan and scholarship applications. Conducts financial aid presentations at orientations, seminars and special interest sessions. Resolves problems with lenders, guarantors and other outside agencies on behalf of students regarding external loans, credit histories and repayment schedules. Monitors fund balances for endowed funds and designated awards to ensure that award amounts are correct and eligibility requirements are met. Ensures compliance with regulations and that services are competitive and responsive to university and student needs. Oversees the preparation of operational and statistical reports for management and regulatory agencies. Hires, trains and supervises staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree. Five years of experience working with student financial aid programs. Expertise in need analysis.
