*This is a Non-Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid an hourly pay rate, on a bi-weekly basis, and are eligible to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under direct supervision, the Preschool Teacher conducts day-to-day educational activities for children ages 12 months to 5 years of age, to children with and without autism spectrum disorder in an inclusive preschool classroom. Provides educational activities and support to promote language, social, and adaptive behavior development. Organizes activity, preparation, set-up and clean-up as well as classroom environmental set-up. Monitors child activity and behavior within the classroom. Ensures compliance with state, university, and practice policies and procedures. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in psychology, early childhood education, special education, behavioral science, or related field and at least one year's experience working in early childhood education. Must be at least 18 years old, have reliable transportation and pass a background check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: At least one year of experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities. |
