JOB DESCRIPTION:Responsible and accountable for animal care operations. Develops and implements animal care program that provides proper housing, sanitation, nourishment, and humane handling for a large and diverse population of laboratory animals. Oversees buildings and grounds. Manages and directs facilities maintenance and construction services to ensure efficient operation in compliance with federal and organizational regulations. Supervises animal care employees.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A bachelors degree in science, an engineering discipline, business administration or related field. Seven years of operations experience within a research animal facility, three of which must be in a supervisory capacity. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. |
