*This is a Non-Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid an hourly pay rate, on a bi-weekly basis, and are eligible to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs routine and moderately complex office tasks, including but not limited to, proofreading, editing and preparing correspondence, reports, manuscripts, and other documents; monitoring accounts; maintaining calendars and coordinating meetings and special events. Reviews incoming correspondence and prepares outgoing correspondence for manager's review. Creates and maintains databases and filing systems. Answers phones and distributes mail. Processes human resources and payroll transactions. May maintain department financial/accounting records and monitor budget expenditures. Orders and maintains office supplies. May direct the work of support staff and/or students. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent and three years of clerical or secretarial experience. Previous experience with various personal computer software applications. Positions within this classification may require keyboarding skills or an advanced knowledge of medical terminology. |
