JOB DESCRIPTION: Oversees and implements strategic prospect research initiatives in support of institutional priorities. Assists in the development and implementation of research policies and procedures. Regularly seeks to identify and implement process improvements. Trains staff on use of online biographical and contact lookups. Creates training materials for instruction, orients and trains new staff and student employee. Proactively identifies prospects via screens, alerts and other routine activities; qualifies and refers highly rated screened prospects in a clear and actionable way. Collects information on prospects, donors and leadership prospects. Assists in identifying key areas for analysis to move prospects through the major gifts donor cycle. Identifies, analyzes, interprets, synthesizes, and appropriately disseminates data in a user-friendly format, working to match institution needs with charitable and economic interests of prospective donors. Monitors top prospects via news alerts and push technology and shares relevant updates with team members and colleagues. Assists in analyzing portfolios and prospect pool. Analyzes databases and identifies new prospects; evaluates and provides capacity analysis using online databases and industry best practices. Keeps abreast of appropriate fundraising strategies and various options for planned giving such as trusts, bequests, and pooled income funds. Fosters partnerships with major gifts teams and central services teams. May lead or manage special projects as assigned. May manage staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree and three years of experience in an office setting OR an equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training. |
