*This is a Non-Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid an hourly pay rate, on a bi-weekly basis, and are eligible to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for recording gifts received in support of University and Healthcare advancement activities. Uses knowledge of relational database concepts, CRM system requirements, and referential integrity to ensure that gift information is accurate and up to date. Manages customer requests using enterprise wide service request software (Service Now). Accurately determines donor intent and gift purpose in recording gift checks and other giving instruments in the donor records CRM system by reviewing relevant documentation and CRM data. Obtains complete and accurate donor information and intent from development officers, donors, and alumni; Researches incomplete or missing gift data to determine donor and intent. Uses CRM database tools and spreadsheet functions to ensure gift batches are accurate and reconciled. Processes gifts and records entries in a timely manner. Processes gifts, pledges, matching gifts, and deferred gifts in accordance with Emory policies, IRS regulations, and FASB and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education guidelines. Processes matching gift entries and other multi-step transactions across the system. Ensures data is entered correctly and funds applied to all constituent records. Generates gift receipts and pledge reminders and reviews for accuracy. Pulls gift transaction data for Telefund and online giving activities from third party credit card processor website and uses spreadsheet formulas and functions to prepare data for input and perform reconciliations. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree and one year of experience in an office setting OR an equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training. Experience in non-profit, development, or alumni relations is preferred.
