JOB DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Advancement and Alumni Engagement, the Senior Associate Vice President for Advancement is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to identify, cultivate, and successfully solicit individuals, corporations, and foundations for major gifts to support Emory University schools, units, clinical, and grateful patient programs. Manages a team of staff that performs at the highest levels with sustained success in managing individual, corporate, foundation, and activity for multiple schools and units. Serves as a key member of the senior leadership team for Advancement and Alumni Engagement and facilitates partnerships across the University and Healthcare. Manages a portfolio of leadership and principal gift prospects; systematically moves solicitation of gifts from these contacts forward according to readiness. Leads the strategic planning process for their department, policy making for department-wide initiatives, and represents the division at university functions or healthcare functions. Develops and manages budgets. Some travel is required. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree and ten years of experience in fundraising and demonstrated success in designing, implementing, and administering programs related to major and principal gift fundraising, fundraising activities, volunteer management, marketing or related fields with team leadership and staff management experience. |
