JOB DESCRIPTION: Coordinates, directs, and implements strategies for identifying, cultivating, and successfully soliciting gifts to achieve income goals in support of The Carter Center's Health Programs, Peace Programs, and overall operations. Builds relationships with current and prospective donors and volunteers to support programs and priorities. Works with Development leadership and staff, programs teams, and operations staff to align priorities with donor goals and interests. Writes communication materials directed at donors. Maintains information on selected donors and prospects including contact reports in the CRM system. Communicates in ways that are donor-centric, while furthering the mission of The Carter Center. To the extent that the position and The Center require, may travel to meet with donors, support events, and create and lead presentations for prospects, donors, volunteers, staff, and other relevant parties. May supervise or assist staff. May manage a program or initiative budget. Depending on required travel locations, Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) may be required. Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree and four years of experience in development, non-profit fundraising management, business development, or related experience in a non-profit or higher education institution, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. |
