*This is an Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid a salary on a monthly basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Plans and directs the development, implementation, and maintenance of training programs for all employees within the organization. Assesses training needs by collecting data through surveys, interviews, and informal discussion to determine the training and development programs that should be offered. Conducts a variety of training to support and enhance leadership and staff development. Assesses the effectiveness of training programs by collecting and summarizing data from course participants, developing quality standards by which to measure training effectiveness, and by informally interacting with employees. Maintains learning resource materials that also includes online resources. Researches and recommends vendor products and services to address specific training needs. Establishes and administers policies, procedures and forms related to training and development. Serves as a resource to staff in the resolution of more complex or unusual operational issues. Hires, supervises, and evaluates staff. Assists with assessments and individual feedback sessions for development programs. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree in adult education, psychology, sociology, or a related field and five years of professional training experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Excellent consulting, facilitation, presentation, and relationship-building skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience in administering 360-surveys and assessments such as Birkman, MBTI, or Disc. Development Dimensions International (DDI), Crucial Learning (Vital Smarts) ELI certifications preferred. Experience in higher educational setting a plus. Supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
