*This is a Non-Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid an hourly pay rate, on a bi-weekly basis, and are eligible to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under supervision of the Electric Shop Supervisor, inspects, installs, services, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies all exterior high voltage overhead and underground lines, equipment, and systems. Works on energized electrical circuits up to 20 kV, using special hot line tools and equipment. Carries on-call pager on a rotation basis for emergency calls after hours. Provides manpower for special functions such as graduation and other special events. Repairs all outside security and street lighting in assigned area. Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent, and four years of high voltage experience, including a lineworker apprenticeship program. A valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record. Positions in this classification will require CPR certification upon employment. Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
