*This is a Non-Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid an hourly pay rate, on a bi-weekly basis, and are eligible to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Electronic Security System Manager within the Emory Police Department, this position is responsible for installation, service, repair and maintenance of computer-based integrated electronic security and control systems including electronic access control systems, CCTV systems, alarm systems and other supportive devices. Provides project management coordination through Emory shops and/or outside contractors. Interprets building blue prints and works with the Emory design team in programming new construction requirements. Ensures warranty compliance for new installations. Works with customer department representatives to provide security and safety recommendations. Trains staff on the proper use of equipment. Maintains electronic security system records and files. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent and three years of experience working with electronic security system installation, operations, maintenance, and management; comprehensive knowledge of security camera systems, card access systems, and intrusion alarm systems; familiar with the application of electronic technology to law enforcement; comprehensive skills in the installation, operation and maintenance of security systems; knowledge of the evaluation of construction blueprints; familiar with network video recorders and local digital video recorders; familiar with electric lock hardware installation. Low voltage electrical license desired. A valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record are required. Positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
