*This is a Non-Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid an hourly pay rate, on a bi-weekly basis, and are eligible to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Painter/Plaster Drywall Finisher performs industrial/commercial finishing and patching of plaster and drywall constructed walls and ceilings. Provides assistance in the preparation for an application of various types of coating. Mixes and matches paint, stain, and other finishes to job specifications. Applies paint, stain, and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers, or sprayers. May hang wallpaper. Must follow all safeguards, rules, and regulations. Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent. Five years of experience in plastering and sheetrock finishing. Proficiency with furniture and equipment refinishing, the use of paint spraying equipment and the application of paint to road surfaces. Must satisfactorily pass a Medical Respiratory Clearance Test and a Respirator Fit Test prior to beginning work and on an annual basis. A valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record. Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop and twist. |
