*This is a Non-Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid an hourly pay rate, on a bi-weekly basis, and are eligible to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for handling confidential documents and transporting to an on-site shredding facility for destruction. Oversees and performs the destruction of confidential documents. Supports the operation of a shredding or bailing machine, as well as other warehouse equipment. Assures superior customer service to both external and internal customers by providing accurate and timely follow-through on all inquiries. Evaluates processes to ensure optimization of resources in relation to route management and operations. Adheres to and complies with Emory University safety and security standards. Manages work orders daily to ensure customer satisfaction and that work orders are ready for billing within monthly deadline. Communicates with supervisor to ensure work orders are processed on-time and labor completed. Assists in facility and vehicle management maintenance. Ensures a clean, safe work environment in compliance with company standards as well as federal, state and local requirements. Reviews and audits all relevant information related to operations on a daily basis and follows up where appropriate. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Two years of customer service or related experience. Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines relative to sensitive document handling and destruction. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a consistent basis and to bend, stoop and twist. A valid Georgia driver's license. |
