JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides behavioral mental health services for the Faculty Staff Assistance Program (FSAP), which is the employee assistance program (EAP) for Emory University and Emory Healthcare. Conducts comprehensive assessments for individuals, couples, and families to determine the most effective clinical path for clients. Provides triage, short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and critical incident stress debriefing. Develops appropriate treatment and referral plans. Delivers quality case management services, including linkages involving the program, clients, organizational constituents, managed care administrators, treatment providers, and community resources. Coordinates referral management and follow up for clients and leadership, including consultation with external providers and treatment facilities on discharge planning and after-care follow-up. Integrates the needs of employees, organizations, and work units to minimize work-site impact while assuring continuity and quality of care are maintained for clients. Provides leadership consultation with feedback and follow-up services. Assists in appropriate application of legally mandated responsibilities for maintaining an alcohol and drug free workplace. Designs and conducts workshops, educational and development programs on a customized basis in coordination with the Manager of Education and Outreach. Performs the full array of EAP responsibilities. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A master's degree in a human services field. Clinical licensure and three years of direct or related experience with employee assistance programs is required. Training and experience in mental health, substance abuse/chemical dependency counseling, clinical assessment and therapy, organizational issues, wellness, and EAP services is preferred. Experience in medical and/or higher education environments is preferred. Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) status or CEAP eligible preferred.
