JOB DESCRIPTION: ***This position is to be used in the Central Office of Institutional Research and Decision Support.*** Operates independently as a subject matter expert to identify, analyze, explain, and solve institutional problems. Primary responsibilities include design, creation, management, and analysis of large complex data sets, designing and automating internal and external reports, ensuring efficient reporting processes, and developing advanced metrics and analyses to inform University leadership. Demonstrates expertise in business intelligence and statistical applications (STATA, SPSS, SAS, R, Tableau) with the ability to train and support others. Independently develops automated tools and methodologies in support of operational business needs such as dashboards, reports, statistical models, or survey research. Consults with business units to identify strategic metrics and build customizations for meeting complex objectives. Evaluates new tools, processes, and software to enhance research, analysis, and reporting capabilities. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree and four years of data management and analysis experience or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. A master¿s degree is preferred. Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to concurrently manage multiple complex, long-term projects required. Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience in institutional research or institutional effectiveness or with skills in data management and statistics (Excel PivotTables, STATA, SPSS, SAS, R, Tableau).
