*This is an Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid a salary on a monthly basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Manages communication projects for new buildings, renovations and communications infrastructure including all aspects of projects that involve new or existing inside/outside cable plant facilities to provide voice, data or video services. Ensures that installation of communications equipment adheres to standards established by Network Communications. Manages the design, engineering and installation of premises and outside cable. Oversees all phases of cable plant facilities supporting voice, data and video communications which includes coordinating the installation of new inside/outside cable or wiring and maintenance of cable facilities, aerial cable inspections, cable entrances, communications closets and manholes; designing and engineering additions to existing voice, data and video cable plant and electronics equipment; determining requirements and pricing of voice, data and video communications cable and equipment and generating parts orders to meet requests if required; and managing vendor relations. Participates in strategic planning and decision-making for communications infrastructure. May supervise or provide direction to staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent. Five years of experience in voice, data or video communications that includes two years designing highly complex cable plant facilities and supervisory experience. Knowledge of digital theory concepts as it applies to the transmission of voice/data and video information on copper, fiber and radio frequency media. A valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record.
