JOB DESCRIPTION: ** This is a central university office position ** Reporting to the Director of the Project Management Office (PMO), responsible for University Technology Services (UTS) construction project management (PM). Provides research/recommendations for new technologies and cost-saving techniques for low voltage cabling & associated products. Develops and manages construction project processes and resources to maintain effectiveness. Partners with Campus Services, Emory Healthcare, and other campus IT leaders to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet budget and quality expectations. Promotes the PMO value-added proposition across the Enterprise and interacts with UTS team members to ensure high quality project leadership, deliverables, responsiveness and professionalism. Advises PMO Director on the construction project portfolio, status, and resource planning to deliver strategic goals and initiatives. Promotes standardized, balanced, and consistent PM practices to ensure effective process methodologies. Provides contract/vendor management, including review and auditing of existing and new contracts. Analyzes resource requirements and constraints to recommend project staffing, and develops PM support policies, building design standards, and procedures to ensure compliance. Establishes and nurtures positive relationships with customer organizations to foster collaboration and innovation. Presents information on projects and initiatives to peers, teams and key stakeholders to ensure projects are defined, tracked, and communicated in a consistent and effective manner. Manages people resources and processes to administer day-to-day operations; identifies individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities to facilitate career development. Supervises employees and evaluates performance. Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree in a related field and six years of experience leading project teams, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) and Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certifications required.
