JOB DESCRIPTION: Helps establish mission and goals as it relates to the architecture group and that group's relationship to Emory as a whole. Architects, designs, develops, documents, procures foundation and frameworks needed to achieve mission and goals (integration/SOA/EDA, web app frameworks, mobile app frameworks and patterns, cloud infrastructure and development, etc.). Manages, trains, mentors, leads others in the use of foundation and frameworks that have either been built or adopted. Uses foundation and frameworks built or adopted to build complex applications and services (integration, services, SOA/EDA, web applications, mobile applications etc.). Helps with mobile application development and distribution as needed. Manages/coordinates relationships with external vendors and partners. Manages/coordinates work performed by external vendors and partners as well as in-house resources on our team and across teams (development, deployment, testing, etc. for all types of applications and solutions). Performs related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree in IT or related field and eight years of relevant IT experience including experience with application/framework architecture, design and implementation (OpenEAI, web microarchitectures, cloud microarchitectures), application development (web, cloud, iOS, Android, backend services), cloud architecture, design and implementation (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure), Service Oriented Architecture and Event Driven Architecture, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, Automated Testing (backends and front-ends) e.g., OpenEAI, SauceLabs, documentation, training and mentorship, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. |
