*This is an Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid a salary on a monthly basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Guides the marketing and communications efforts of the department. Develops strategic communications, branding, brand management, and marketing strategy development for strategic initiatives. Develops and creates programs, special event advertising, program materials, proposals, marketing kits, social media, and other communication materials that support division strategic goals, broadens exposure, or promotes the image/brand. Develops and creates effective methods for marketing strategies and distributing communication materials and information. May train others in the use of communications technology. Works with external vendors. Monitors project budgets. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree and three years of professional experience journalism, communications or marketing OR an equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training.
