*This is an Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid a salary on a monthly basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: As part of the Task Force for Global Health, leads small to medium size matrix project teams that may consist of Business Analysts, Project Managers, Information Architects, and Data Analysts to complete quality deliverables within scope, on time, and within budget. May mentor other analysts on informatics standards and methodologies. Ensure that informatics standards and methodologies support and advance the project objectives. Establishes collaborative relationships with clients, project team and other staff. Provides public health agencies with recommendations on an informatics strategy. Identifies technical solutions for electronic sharing of clinical and public health data and opportunities for integrating informatics projects. Supports public health agencies in coordinating informatics needs and priorities. Recommends best practices and methodologies for systems development, testing, implementation, and operation within a public health agency. Identifies relevant standards to support programmatic needs, including vocabulary and terminology standards, information content standards, information exchange standards, privacy and security standards, functional standards, and others as needed. Leverages standardized data and messaging for data reuse and workflow automation. Provides public health practitioners support in managing informatics projects including engaging stakeholders, soliciting, and selecting contracted services and managing contractor performance. Communicates project work and informatics issues through conference presentations, reports, and journal articles. Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree in informatics, business, engineering, science or related field and seven years of position specific subject matter knowledge and/or experience in planning and applying information technology to one or more business functions, OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. A master's degree is preferred.
