JOB DESCRIPTION: The Library Services Manager provides leadership for library operations, overseeing user services and resource management across the University's library system. Working with considerable independence, this role may be responsible for some or a combination of the following: leading and mentoring staff, supervising departments or large units, monitoring budgets for student staffing, and developing policies and workflows to improve acquisitions, cataloging, reserves, and preservation. The Manager may also oversee resource accessibility, direct major programs for bibliographic and resource management, foster collaboration among staff and the broader library team, ensure institutional policy compliance, advance library objectives, initiate service delivery improvements, and adapt services to meet campus needs. May collaborate with internal and external partners to align operations with institutional priorities, innovation, compliance, and a commitment to customer service excellence.
Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree and four years of related experience, including one year in a supervisory or lead position, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. |
