*This is a Non-Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid an hourly pay rate, on a bi-weekly basis, and are eligible to receive overtime pay for any hours worked over 40 in a work week.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Operations and Gallery Specialist assists in managing systems and workflows to support the services of the Michael C. Carlos Museum. This position serves as a primary information source at the point of entry overseeing the museum visitor experience, while providing gallery and facility access. Provides exemplary customer service to visitors, including directional and informational assistance, membership enrollment, and cash management. Assists with student Gallery Attendant training. Provides support as needed for museum events, projects, and promotions. Ensures safe and secure spaces and the protection of art works. Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma or equivalent, and two years of experience in customer service, facility security, or a related field. Basic knowledge of computer skills, visitor services, and safety protocols is preferred. |
