*This is an Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid a salary on a monthly basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Functions as a Co-Investigator for the Emory Institute for Drug Development (EIDD) or the Liotta Research Group. Directs research and plays a leadership role in research projects. Presents results and prepares publications and patents. Conducts independent research, oversees the activities of junior development scientists, post-docs, technicians, and students. Troubleshoots, executes, and develops new experimental methods. Designs, executes, interprets, and communicates experiments and experimental results as part of a cross-functional team of development scientists. Manages multiple projects. May collaborate with external researchers and supervise research staff. Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent and four years of professional research experience. Leadership experience in a scientific field if preferred. |
