*This is an Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid a salary on a monthly basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Director of Strategic Operations for Research Administration, conducts research (internal/external) to identify, investigate and prioritize issues related to research operations at Emory. Leads projects to develop, implement and evaluate effective cross-operations process improvement solutions. Collaborates with stakeholders to implement process improvement recommendations. Defines and implements metrics to track, evaluate and monitor process improvements. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree and five years of business management, research administration or related experience which includes process improvement and project management experience. Broad experience in one or more areas of research administration strongly preferred. Strong problem solving, analytical and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to coach and train managers and staff. Strong oral, written communication and presentation skills. A team focused approach to work and experience implementing business process improvements using Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen are preferred. |
