*This is an Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid a salary on a monthly basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Implements and evaluate Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs, policies and procedures to ensure the safe use, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials (radioactive, biological, chemical or other hazardous materials, including asbestos); and to comply to with applicable laws and regulations. May hire, supervise and evaluate staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors plus 7 years experience in environmental engineering, public health, occupational health and safety or other appropriate science-related field of study (i.e. chemistry) is required. Additional management experience is required. Professional Board Certification desired. Examples include: CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), CHP (Certified Health Physicist), CSP (Certified Safety Professional), BSP (Biosafety Professional), CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager), PE (Professional Engineer), etc. Equivalent combination of experience, education and training is accepted. This position may have supervisory responsibilities. |
