JOB DESCRIPTION: Manages the development, implementation and evaluation of overall policies to support Environmental Health and Safety Office (EHSO) strategies including short, medium and long range planning processes. Represents the EHSO Director, as necessary. Leads the generation of key insights, including goals and objectives. Works closely with business partners and counterparts throughout the organization to generate and manage these key insights. Assists the EHSO Director in the annual strategic planning process, and contributes to the design of financial tools and models to effectively support that process. Hires, supervises and evaluates staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in environmental engineering, public health, occupational health and safety or other appropriate science-related field and eight years of environmental health and safety or related experience OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Supervisory experience. Professional Board Certification required, i.e. CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), CHP (Certified Health Physicist), CSP (Certified Safety Professional), BSP (Biosafety Professional), CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager), PE (Professional Engineer), etc. preferred.
