JOB DESCRIPTION: Develops, manages, and communicates the student registration process and the examination process for a large school or college. Functions as the official custodian of student records by maintaining the highest standards of customer service, accuracy, security, and compliance, while effectively serving students, faculty, alumni, and other stakeholders. Ensures business processes and associated support elements, such as training and documentation, result in accurate and complete collection of data for all records maintained by the School's Registrar's Office. May produce dashboards and reports that track progression, probation, and student success. Provides detailed information to faculty and program directors as needed. Implements and enforces Emory University's policies and protocols regarding the use, dissemination, integrity, security, and privacy of student information, in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, including the Family Educational and Rights Privacy Act (FERPA). Participates in appropriate university-wide or school-wide committees and working groups. Hires, manages, develops, and evaluates assigned staff. May Institute and implement strategic and operational plans for ongoing improvements in efficiency, effectiveness of operations, and services and support. May collaborate with institutional research in the implementation of course evaluations. Performs special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree in business administration, education, or related field with seven years of related experience in a college, professional school, or university Registrar's office, including experience as a registrar or associate registrar and a working knowledge of student registration and computerized student records information systems. |
