*This is an Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid a salary on a monthly basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Assists in coordinating one or more student academic functions for a school or program such as admissions, financial aid, registration or student placement. Advises and coaches current students to help them determine and reach their academic and professional goals. Supports students in academic course selection to meet those goals and maintain progress towards degree. Maintains and updates advising-related forms and materials. Compiles and analyzes course enrollment data to track trends and determine demand. Plans and develops communications, materials, and events to educate and inform targeted audiences.
May collaborate with registrar on degree tracker updates and troubleshooting, as well as degree clearance processes. Oversees processes for students changing academic careers or transferring from the institution. Serves on university-wide committees as a representative of the school. May provide assistance with study abroad processes, including the review of applications, transcripting of courses from partner institutions, and grade entry, as well as building relationships with partner schools via attendance at national conferences. Assists with planning and execution of large-scale events. May supervise clerical personnel. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in business administration, higher education, counseling, or related field and five years of experience in advising, registration, student affairs or a related field at an institution of higher education |
