JOB DESCRIPTION: *This is a central University office position.* Manages daily operations for financial aid programs which may include compliance and financial operations, advisement and training or systems and operations. Ensures compliance with appropriate guidelines and regulations. Develops and administers related policies and procedures. Provides leadership in strategic planning including the development of short and long range goals. Assumes fiscal responsibility for relevant financial aid programs. Maintains a comprehensive working knowledge of financial aid policies, procedures and regulations. Advises parents and students regarding the financial aid process for federal, state and institutional funds as needed. May facilitate training for staff. Promotes professional development for staff. Serves as a liaison with business units/schools at Emory and with outside constituents. Represents the Office of Financial Aid on behalf of the Director in meetings related to compliance, advisement systems and other financial aid functions. Hires, supervises and evaluates staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree. Six years of progressively responsible experience in financial aid administration, student services or enrollment management, which includes three years in a supervisory role, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Demonstrated experience managing automated financial aid systems. Strategic planning and project management experience preferred.
