*This is an Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid a salary on a monthly basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Directs special projects for a non-central division or department. Manages the strategic planning process and oversees progress toward achieving project goals. Develops and administers project budgets. Participates in the identification of funding sources, initiatives and strategies. Prepares communication documents for articles, reports, and/or presentations. Develops short and long term project goals and objectives. Represents and promotes projects at speaking engagements and with various constituencies. Conducts research, analyzes data and identifies and summarizes trends. Develops and prepares reports. Serves as a liaison with other university departments and represents projects at meetings and events. May hire, supervise and evaluate staff. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree and five years of project management or related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Proficiency with various computer software packages.
