Saving for College
Do you want to learn more on how you can save and be better prepared financially for your child(ren)'s college education. Come out and listen to two professionals, Ryan Florence and Nancy Farmer, share their expertise on strategies for planning, saving and paying for college. Topics will include retirement plans, life insurance, 529 savings and prepaid plans.
Nancy Farmer has served as President of Private College 529 Plan for 12 years. Prior to joining the Private College Plan Farmer enjoyed a career in public service in both elected and appointed offices. Her work with Qualified Tuition Plans – better known as “529 plans” began 20 years ago while she was Deputy and then elected as Treasurer of the state of Missouri.
Ryan specializes in senior transitions and Financial Planning. As a CFP® professional, Ryan understands the importance of guiding young families through the challenges of saving for retirement, student loans, college savings plans, private school costs, and budgeting. Most high school and college courses do not provide the real life planning needed to be prepared for these expenses. Most investors do not have the time or interest to fully research and understand all available options. He is committed to guiding families through financial decision-making by providing education on marketplace opportunities and risks.
