Understanding K-12 School Options in Metro Atlanta

Whether you are considering options for elementary school, middle school, or high school in Atlanta, the range of educational options in the ninth largest metropolitan city can be overwhelming. This workshop is designed to help sort through the choices and shed light on the different types of educational opportunities available throughout metro Atlanta. Brett Hardin, PhD, is currently the Head of the High School at Paideia and has previously worked at two public high schools and Georgia State University. Bringing over twenty five years of professional work experience in public and private education, he will provide attendees of this workshop with insight into the differences between public and private school, along with some of the important factors that families may want to consider as they explore various educational options. Dr. Hardin will also help parents understand the range of school structures, from a comprehensive public school and charter school, to magnet and Montessori. The workshop will help parents gain knowledge into the goals of different schools, which can help guide parents in making a more informed decision about the best schooling choice for their children. After Dr. Hardin reviews the educational landscape in metro Atlanta, there will be time for questions and an open forum to discuss schools in metro Atlanta.
