*This is an Exempt position. Employees in this position are paid a salary on a monthly basis and are not eligible to receive overtime pay.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides laboratory instruction to students enrolled in science courses. Ensures the availability of teaching materials, samples, specimens and equipment. Develops instructional methodologies, presents complex concepts and materials and responds to students' questions. Assists in the development or restructuring of new experiments. Writes and administers academic tests. May develop and manage laboratory cultures and/or greenhouse plants designed for laboratory or instructional use. Provides guidance and direction to student workers. Establishes laboratory safety standards in compliance with organizational and federal guidelines. Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A bachelor's degree in the biological or physical sciences or a related field. One year of experience in a science laboratory. |
